The Georgia freediving community was born from a spark of curiosity. After seeing pictures of freedivers online, Tiffany and I were captivated by the idea of exploring the underwater world on a single breath. During the lockdown, we signed up for a PADI course and earned our certifications. But once the course ended, we found ourselves adrift—excited but with no local mentors or community to help us grow.

We began searching everywhere for others who shared our new passion, but no freediving community existed in Georgia. So, we decided to create one. Like a magnet, we started attracting people—some already certified, others eager to learn. As the most experienced freedivers in the area at the time, we felt both a responsibility and a calling to guide this growing group. That led us to pursue our own instructor certifications, not only to support the community we had built but also to help others safely begin their own freediving journeys.

From this passion, Freediving Passion was born. Based in the metro Atlanta area, we now serve freedivers across Georgia and neighboring states like Tennessee and Alabama. While Georgia may not be as naturally convenient for freediving as Florida, our company has become a hub where people can connect, train, and experience the joy of exploring the underwater world together. We operate Freediving Passion on the side, purely as a way to share our love for the sport and to give the Dixie Valley region the opportunity to discover the beauty of freediving.
